We provide the safer environment which is reliable by firmly inheriting the DNA of the existing center that has acquired certification of conformity to the safety measures standard set by FISC and JEITA, as well as design to realize the highest level "Tier 4" facility standards established by the Japan Data Center Council(JDCC).

LOCATION

38 minutes from Nihombashi station and 22 minutes from Narita Airport station (minimum)

It has a good accessibility of 38 minutes from Nihombashi station and a minimum of 22 minutes from Narita Airport station.Since it is outside of the traffic restriction area at the time of a large earthquake disaster occurred, it is possible to arrive in emergency.

Strong diluvial upland

Chiba New Town area which originally has firm and solid diluvial upland (called Shimousa upland). It is confirmed that no major active fault lines run within 40 km around the area and this area is more than 20 kilometers away from the coastline, 22.5m above sea level, which makes it possible that there is no threat of a Tsunami and risk of ground liquefaction.

Power Facility

It is a extra high-voltage loop power reception that provides two active lines from different substations. And it is possible to receive up to 20,000 KVA. Electricity supply will not stop even if a power fault occurs in one side system. In the unlikely event that the power supply stops, the UPS will supply power for about 10 minutes while the in-house generator starts up.

Utility Common trench

The area of netXDC Chiba second center has utility common trench.In concrete underground tunnel, not only plumbing but also electrical power and communication cable run, as well as hot and cold water pipe which are used for air conditioning of the area. This area has no risk such as "Power loss" or "Emergency Vehicle cannot make it into the area" due to the utility pole damaged by earthquake.

FACILITY

Multiple Countermeasures against earthquakes

The vibration of the earthquake is attenuated by up to 80% because of a countermeasure against side-shake combined with Laminated Rubber isolator on basement and vertical vibration dampers (VEM dampers) that support each floor as a countermeasure against pitching.

UPS System

The UPS system configuration that adopts block redundancy system with MTBF (mean time before failure) of 125 years reliability.

Emergency generators

Emergency generators are installed outside of Data center, installing 4,500 KVA gas turbine generator with N + 1 configuration. Continuous operation for 72 hours without refueling is possible. In addition, monthly generators test runs and dummy load operations runs every six months are carried out, so that it can operate smoothly even in emergency situations.

Air conditioning

The adoption of outside air cooling system reduces the power consumption of air conditioning equipment. By clearly separating the intake of the outside air and the exhaust heat.
Effective use of the outside air in the winter / intermediate period directly, the load of the air conditioning heat source is greatly reduced. PUE ※aims to realize the highest level of domestic 1.3, contributing to green IT.

Server room

The ceiling height of the server room is 3,200 mm, and raised floor height of the free access is 800 mm. Within free access, a low-voltage bus duct that provides 400 A of current is installed, and even when using large capacity power, the power cables will not be intertwined in large quantities. Also, since the network cable is installed in the tray at the top of the rack, there is nothing inside the free access that will interfere with the flow of cool air.

※The air conditioning is water cooled type. Cold air is blown up from under the floor, warm air escapes from the ceiling on the aisle capped hot aisle.

The Loading space

The Loading space is wide and goods receipt is possible up to the 4 t truck. The level difference between the ground and the building floor is small, the function of raising the luggage elevator according to the height of the loading platform of the loaded truck is equipped, even if you bring the equipment with a passenger car, you can easily unload it. Moreover, as security consideration at the time of bringing in, the shutter on the outdoor side and the door inside the building are interlocked, and one is not opened unless one side is closed. The loading elevator supports the carry-in of large racks with a ceiling height of 2,700 mm and a load of 2.5 t.
