LOCATION

52 minutes from Osaka at the shortest

netXDC Sanda Data Center 2 (SH2) has an excellent accessibility of 42 minutes minimum from Osaka to the nearest station by public transportation. From the nearest station, SCSK shuttle bus service is available. Also, the data center is accessible from Sannomiya by Express bus with 65 minutes.

Areas resistant to natural disasters

The datacenter is located on a hilly area supported by Kobe group. It is a region that is strong against natural disasters, which is far enough from active faults and water environment and has very low risk of damage such as earthquakes and tsunamis.

FACILITY

Power receiving system

Power cables embedded underground have completely been duplexed in two systems and its maintenance and update can be performed without powe failure. We have adopted the active line and standby line system to receive power, which does not cause power failure during maintenance. In the event of power failure, the UPS will provide power for about 10 minutes, and during the 10 minutes, a generator activates. The air conditioner also has two power supply inputs and can be operated continuously by switching the system during inspection.

Air conditioning

The adoption of outside air cooling system reduces the power consumption of air conditioning equipment. By clearly separating the intake of the outside air and the exhaust heat.
Effective use of the outside air in the winter / intermediate period directly, the load of the air conditioning heat source is greatly reduced. PUE ※aims to realize the highest level of domestic 1.3, contributing to green IT.

Uninterruptible power source(UPS)

The UPS system configuration that adopts block redundancy system with MTBF (mean time before failure) of 125 years reliability.

Private power generator

The in-house generator installed in the building is a 4,500 kVA gas turbine generator with an N + 1 configuration. It can operate continuously for 72 hours without refueling.
Test operation is performed once a month and dummy load operation is conducted once every six months, which make it possible to operate without delay at the time of emergency.

Server room

The ceiling height of the server room is 3,200 mm, and raised floor height of the free access is 800 mm. Within free access, a low-voltage bus duct that provides 400 A of current is installed, and even when using large capacity power, the power cables will not be intertwined in large quantities. Also, since the network cable is installed in the tray at the top of the rack, there is nothing inside the free access that will interfere with the flow of cool air.

※The air conditioning is water cooled type. Cold air is blown up from under the floor, warm air escapes from the ceiling on the aisle capped hot aisle.

Free Space

Taking advantage of the scale advantages of the suburban data center, total of over 100㎡ free space is available at the area adjacent to a server room.
Each floor has three free-space rooms of different types (79.5㎡/39.2㎡),which can be used for a wide range of use such as kitting and office work.

Multiple Countermeasures against earthquakes

The vibration of the earthquake is attenuated by up to 80% because of a countermeasure against side-shake combined with Laminated Rubber isolator on basement and vertical vibration dampers (VEM dampers) that support each floor as a countermeasure against pitching.

Security

We have over eight levels of security checks to protect customers assets including 24 hours of manned surveillance using cameras and sensors, inspections of personal belongings using X-ray machines and metal detectors, identification using IC cards and biometric identification, prevention of tailgating to server room, opening and closing racks by security lock. Also, customer can have over nine security checks by adding customized measure as an option.
